About Me
Stacy M. Rush, LCMHC, LPC
Licensed in NC, CO, AL, FL
I am currently pursuing a PhD at Colorado Christian University. In 2018, I completed my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, also at Colorado Christian University.
I am trained in EMDR through EMDRIA and am working towards certification. For the past six years, my treatment approach has been primarily focused on the eight phases of EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
With 19 years of active duty service, I have discovered that my true joy and passion lie in being a therapist. I don't see therapy as merely a job; I believe it is my purpose.
Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about traveling and spending time with my family. After more than 19 years as a dual active-duty family, we are now entering a phase where we can focus on being together and enjoying the activities we all love.
In my practice, I use a variety of techniques, focusing primarily on an integrated approach that includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I hold the belief that for significant progress to happen, the mind and body must be in harmony; in other words, genuine change occurs when you can feel what you believe. These three modalities provide a solid foundation and understanding for healing.
